Figures indicate that there are around one and a half more<br \/>\nrecorded incidents in Boston than anywhere else in Lincolnshire, which is why<br \/>\nthe council is determined to deal with the issue. A lot of the incidents<br \/>\noriginate in HMOs where larger properties have been sub-divided up into small<br \/>\nbedsits. If a responsible landlord does not properly manage the property<br \/>\nproperly, noise and excessive rubbish soon become a problem for people living<br \/>\nin the same neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Licensing Scheme for Landlords<\/strong><br \/>\nBoston Borough Council believes that there is a strong link between antisocial<br \/>\nbehaviour and poor property management. By regulating landlords through an<br \/>\nannual licensing scheme, the council thinks that rogue landlords will be<br \/>\ndriven out of the city and the number of nuisance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.propertyportfoliosoftware.co.uk\/video.create_tenant.html#watch-demo-anchor\">tenants<\/a> in residence will<br \/>\nfall. Landlords will be charged \u00a3490 per year. The license fee for HMOs will<br \/>\nbe higher at around \u00a3800 per year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Misery caused by Bad Tenants<\/strong><br \/>\nNoisy and irresponsible tenants can cause untold misery for their neighbours.<br \/>\nQuite often problems get worse over time when landlords fail to step in and<br \/>\ndeal with problems early on.
