However, all is not lost\u2014HMRC are aware that many first timers have no idea how to fill in a tax return, so to make things a bit easier, they are running a series of helpful Webinars during December and January. The dates for these are:<\/p>\n<p>December Webinars<\/p>\n<p>\uf0a7 Monday 3rd, 2pm<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Tuesday 11th, 8am<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Friday 14th, 1pm<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Friday 28th, 3pm<\/p>\n<p>January Webinars<\/p>\n<p>\uf0a7 Thursday 10th, 7pm<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Saturday 19th, 11am<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Tuesday 22nd, 2pm<br \/>\n\uf0a7 Wednesday 30th, 8am<\/p>\n<p>The HMRC Webinars should be very helpful, so if you have never before filled in a tax return, sign up for one of the Webinars by visiting the HMRC website at www.hmrc.gov.uk. I know from personal experience just how complicated and confusing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.propertyportfoliosoftware.co.uk\/SoftwareDemos\/income_tax_report_demo08\/\">tax returns<\/a> can be, so if you have never done a tax return before, it is sensible to see how the forms work rather than leaving it until 23:45 on January 31st (the deadline is 00:00) and being fined for submitting a late tax return.<\/p>\n<p>How do I do an online tax return?<\/p>\n<p>Filling out a tax return online is the quickest and easiest way, but before you have access to the online forms, you must register with HMRC.
