But when two landlords from<br \/>\nLondon were faced with similar problems, they decided to take action<br \/>\nand contact the tenant\u2019s employer, which caused a great deal of<br \/>\nembarrassment to the tenant!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email shame<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tenant, a senior lawyer at a London law firm, was mortified when<br \/>\nhis landlords fired off an angry email to his co-workers claiming<br \/>\nthat he owed them rent for the previous two months and alleging he<br \/>\nhad simply vanished from the property without clearing his belongings<br \/>\nor returning the key. They asked his co-workers to confirm the man<br \/>\nstill worked at the firm and to contact him on their behalf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u2019ll see you in court<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The angry tenant issued court proceedings against his landlords,<br \/>\nclaiming he had been \u201cinjured in his reputation\u201d and that he had<br \/>\nsuffered great embarrassment and emotional upset.<\/p>\n<p>In return the landlords fought back with a strongly worded reply<br \/>\nmaking counter claims about the tenant\u2019s atrocious behaviour and<br \/>\nreferring to an anonymous text message alleging the man had spent all<br \/>\nhis cash on unsuitable female companions (a claim that was strongly<br \/>\ndenied by the tenant).
